Description
Ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) is added up to 65% with 4% gypsum and 31% clinker and inter-grinded to obtain Portland Slag Cement. This cement conforms to IS 455/1989 but having strength of 23, 33, and 43 mega-pascal for 3 day, 7day and 28 day although the statutory requirement is 16, 22, and 33 mega-pascal respectively. High strength is achieved by the high quality of clinker, good quality of slagand the technique of grinding.
